PERSPECTIVE

Try to disguise who one really is inside.
Image by Sarolta Ban, courtesy of Tess Kincaid of The Magpie Tales
The unceasing glare of eyes larger than life
piercing into one's very soul.
There is no hiding, no refuse.
A never-ending silent inquisition.
Is it real or only in the mind,
our societal superiority complex?
Can one not just be themselves in front of one set
of loving, omniscient eyes alone?

  3. One is always oneself. No matter what. These piercing eyes make sure of that.

  6. Nicely done. Wonderful composed poem. With a deep touch ... even in some way spiritual.
